Box Head Husband

This was created for the GameDev.TV 2024 game jam.

Inspired by the Game Boy-style Silent Hill demakes, I thought it would be fun to learn GB studio and give this a shot. It was fun to take a break from my larger project and do something smaller. I believed I could finish the whole story but it's not even close... I was able to design and plug away at the bottom of the island but it doesn't have everything I wish it had. 

We follow a wife and husband who move to a small seaside town as things turn sideways. As the apocalypse begins in town your wife goes missing so you go out searching for her.

Due to a hectic work schedule being a mental health worker and having lost a lot of material on my iPad, this is what I was able to finish for the jam but I do intend to finish this project. 

Here are some things planned for the following release: finish the world maps, create house interiors, and work on the puzzle aspect. rework enemy AI to create,  complexity. Add more secret bosses. (At the moment there's one optional boss.)
